Developed by the tutors at The Floristry School, this course will give you the knowledge and skills needed to create and develop some of the key floral designs used by professional florists in the industry.

During this workshop students will design in a team to create a framework and a structure that can be used to enhance their wedding portfolio. You will be working with a Master florist qualified tutor to learn new techniques and sustainable practices for these larger scale designs.

During this workshop you will design, produce and develop two hanging installations suitable for larger scale weddings and events.

Join us here at The Floristry School to learn an essence in the art of Ikenobo Ikebana and immerse yourself in the beautiful ancient tradition of Japanese floral art, dating back more than 550 years.

There is a general mis-understanding that working in the floristry industry is easy and less stressful than some other retail industries so this course is designed around giving students an understanding of the demands of the industry together with an appreciation of the potential of how a floristry business can develop, be successful and profitable whilst also being able to compete in this every changing world.

Trends for the design and fashion industries are set four years in advance and in this one-day course we look at how to ‘tap-in’ to the knowledge of trends and how to use them well within the floristry retail business.
